Celebrate Singapore’s 60th birthday with a stirring evening of choral music presented by the Singapore Lyric Opera.
Chorus in Concert features powerful opera choruses by Verdi — including “Va, pensiero” from Nabucco, “Gloria all’Egitto” from Aida, and “Patria oppressa” from Macbeth — works that echo themes of unity, identity, and resilience.
The concert also showcases folk songs from across the region, reflecting Singapore’s multicultural heritage, and a special choral arrangement of “Wu Suo Nan Yang (雾锁南洋)”, the iconic theme from The Awakening, Singapore’s first local blockbuster drama.
